Beyond the microphone
Captures your Mac's system audio together with the live mic — so a Zoom or Microsoft Teams call becomes a full session, not just whatever's said in the room.

Eigen Desktop is the native macOS companion for EigenVertex — formerly Eigen Companion. It captures meetings and knowledge sessions live, picks up exactly where a paused session left off, and stays current on its own — every update signed and verified before it ever reaches your Mac.

What it does today
Capture anything. Understand it instantly.
Eigen Desktop captures your Mac's system audio right alongside the room's live mic — a Zoom call, a Microsoft Teams meeting, a webinar, or a YouTube video all become material it can work with.
Beyond meetings
Webinars, conference streams, YouTube videos — all become material you can capture and use, especially when a video's own transcript is missing or unreliable. If your Mac can play it, Eigen Desktop can capture it.
Understood as it happens
Every capture is decoded and analyzed live in the Living Room — key points, decisions, and remarks surfaced as the conversation unfolds, not after the fact.
One home for every file
Import any file type directly into an EigenVertex corpus, right alongside everything you capture.
Project to an open standard
Any project or corpus can be projected to OKF (Open Knowledge Format), the open standard Google Cloud introduced in June 2026 — plain Markdown and YAML, no vendor lock-in. Because that's exactly what a vault is made of, the same projection opens natively in Obsidian.
Not sure which one you need? Eigen Meeting is your second brain for notes, interviews, and one-on-one conversations — the mobile companion for iOS and Android. Eigen Desktop is what runs when you're at your Mac, capturing anything that plays through it. → See Eigen Meeting
